The WSIS Forum 2016, held from 2-7 May, represented the world's largest annual gathering of the ‘Information and Communication Technology for development’ (ICT4D) community. The WSIS Forum 2016 was co-organized by the International Telecommunication Union, UNESCO, the United Nations Development Programme, and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, in close collaboration with all WSIS Action Line Facilitators/Co-Facilitators.

The 2016 Forum has proven to be an efficient mechanism for coordination of multistakeholder implementation activities, information exchange, creation of knowledge, and sharing of best practices. It continues to provide assistance in developing multistakeholder and public/private partnerships to advance development goals.

All stakeholders were invited to contribute their formal inputs towards shaping the themes and format of the WSIS Forum 2016 through the online official submission form and physical meetings.  Submission received by stakeholder region are as follows:
