Working Group on Disability and Digital Societies

The Working Group on Disability and Digital Societies explores how the digital society can contribute to: (i) better monitoring and evaluation of disability inclusive development; and (ii) the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda for persons with disabilities.

It was created in collaboration between the Secretariat for the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the Division of Social Policy and Development at the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, and Data-Pop Alliance. The multistakeholder group consists of UN agencies, intergovernmental organizations, development cooperation partners, academics, practitioners, nonprofit organizations, foundations, and the private sector.

The Working Group on Disability and Digital Societies is supported by the Disability Inclusive Development (DID) Policy Collaboratory, an initiative of the Institute on Disability and Public Policy at American University.
